Panthers work camp for underpriviledged

Head Coach Phil Kuchta was asked to help at the Elyria Firefighters basketball camp.  The camp was set up to help the underprivileged kids on the south side of Elyria by Elyria firefighter Bryant Lieux. "I really think what Bryant did was a great thing for our community, and to see the firefighters themselves out there working with the kids was great.  I would love to see them do this again" said Coach Kuchta.  The camp admission was only $5. Coach Kuchta gave each of the 28 campers a black/white basketball along with giving out several Panther basketball t-shirts and some medals.  "It was great to help out with this camp,I am so glad that Bryant Lieux let me be a small part of this week."  It really felt like we were doing a community service" Coach Kuchta said.  Coach Kuchta said he tried to give the campers just a couple of things to remember when trying out for any team, "a strong work ethic and a great attitude are something that every coach wants in a player."
